BARDO
Partner & Collaborator Agreement
Last updated: July 2025

At BARDO Inclusive, we believe meaningful collaboration is built on trust, equity, and aligned purpose. This agreement outlines the mutual expectations, principles, and practical terms for anyone working with BARDO Inclusive as a partner, associate, co-creator, or delivery collaborator.

This is not a legal contract, but a values-based agreement — a shared commitment to how we work together.
1. Shared Values
As a BARDO partner, you agree to:
-
Champion inclusion, equity, and accessibility in all areas of work
-
Embrace continuous learning, unlearning, and reflexivity
-
Respect diverse lived experiences, identities, and ways of working
-
Prioritise psychological safety, care, and consent in all engagements
-
Show up with integrity, humility, and curiosity
We value collaboration that centres both impact and intention, and where working together feels energising, not extractive.
2. Ways of Working
We aim to:
-
Communicate clearly, kindly, and in good time
-
Honour boundaries, capacity, and neurodiverse needs
-
Be transparent around timelines, roles, and expectations
-
Give credit generously and celebrate shared success
-
Offer space for honest feedback and repair where needed
3. Dynamic Connection & Knowledge Sharing
We believe connection fuels creativity. To support deeper collaboration and shared learning, BARDO occasionally hosts:
-
Collective Curiosity Days: Interactive sessions where we explore emerging research, inclusive practice, and bold new ideas
-
Creative Co-Working Hours: Space to work alongside one another virtually, share energy, and unblock challenges
-
Field Trips & Inspirations: Visits to museums, exhibitions, or nature to nourish minds and spark cross-sector thinking
-
Partner Retreats (but not like you’ve seen before): Optional gatherings that blend rest, reflection, strategy, and celebration
-
Dinner with Strangers: opportunities to join in our Dinner with Strangers events.
These are never compulsory but always intentional. We believe investing in people and relationships is as important as delivering projects.

Where budget allows, BARDO will cover costs or offer a stipend for these sessions. In some cases, we may operate a pay-what-you-can or co-investment model, with transparency about why and how. Our aim is always to make these experiences accessible, energising, and worthwhile — never burdensome or exclusionary.
4. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
Unless agreed otherwise in writing:
-
All original content created by BARDO Inclusive remains our intellectual property
-
Co-developed content may be co-branded or shared with mutual credit
-
Any tools, documents, or strategies provided by BARDO are for use within agreed scopes and should not be repurposed without permission
-
We will respect each other’s confidentiality, including client information, strategy, or sensitive discussions
5. Equity in Pay & Practice
We commit to:
-
Fair and transparent payment terms
-
Paying invoices promptly within agreed timelines (typically 14–30 days)
-
Recognising and valuing lived experience, emotional labour, and creative input
-
Minimising unpaid work or expectation of ‘voluntary’ contribution without clear mutual agreement
We ask you to:
-
Invoice on time and include all necessary details
-
Communicate any access or support needs upfront
6. When Things Go Wrong
We know collaboration isn’t always smooth. If challenges arise, we commit to:
-
Addressing concerns openly and respectfully
-
Offering space for reflection, feedback, and course-correction
-
Taking a restorative, not punitive, approach to disagreement or conflict
-
Ending collaborations gracefully when alignment is no longer possible
7. Representation & Brand Use
Please:
-
Do not speak on behalf of BARDO Inclusive unless explicitly asked to do so
-
Use our logo, assets, or branded materials only with permission and in the agreed context
-
Let us know if you are engaging in external work that may intersect or overlap with BARDO content, messaging, or partnerships
8. Staying Aligned
We review our ways of working regularly. You’re always welcome to:
-
Suggest better ways of doing things
-
Ask questions about scope, fees, or values
-
Offer feedback, formally or informally
Working with BARDO should feel human, purposeful, and mutual.
